Maia + Adam | Mt. View Orchards Wedding | Mt. Hood, OR.

I loved Maia & Adam's wedding at Mt. View Orchards for so many reasons: It was small, there was iced coffee served at the ceremony because it took place at 11:00 AM, the mountain views were amazing, pears and apples were abundantly hanging from the orchard trees, Maia's unique dress was handmade by a dressmaker in Portland, Maia and Adam did a first look (yes!) and family pictures before the ceremony (double yes!), they are so SO happy together, and as a reception they had the most casual house party at home in NE Portland full of yard games, takeout pizza, and dancing! Congrats you two!

Shannon + Justin | Andrews Lake | Durango, CO. Wedding

I was so lucky when Shannon and Justin came into my life. I knew from the very beginning that they didn't do anything according to expectations from anyone else. Because of this, their relationship and their wedding day was one-of-a-kind. There was no fuss over picky details or a rigid schedule. In fact, the day was so relaxed we had time to order a pizza and leisurely eat a couple slices before heading to the lake. If you're a wedding photographer you know how rare and amazing this is! In short, Shannon and Justin really just wanted a pretty mountain view and to drink beer with their closest, dearest friends and family. That is exactly what they got.

Shannon and Justin are the kind of couple I love to photograph because they treat me like family and also fully trust my vision. So much so that Shannon asked me to ride along with her two days before the wedding to pick out a spot for the ceremony at Andrews Lake. Shannon and Justin are also awesome because they had not one but two "rehearsal" dinners that weren't really rehearsals at all, but rather an excuse to drink beer. If you remember, this is the same couple that brought beer on their engagement shoot. Are you sensing a theme here? I like these guys. I am so happy for them!
